When we get close to a dog she does'nt start growling straight away ,, she lets them have a sniff and sometimes can be beside them for a while, but still you can see she is on her guard, i usually allow other dogs to come to her if their owners are ok about it, but at the moment i am trying to walk away before she starts to get too edgy,, then i will tell her good girl and give her a treat,,, if she growls she does'nt get a treat.

I'm certainly not the expert, but it seems to me she's just acting normally. I don't think she's in fighting mode, only in a getting to know you mode. I can't offer any advice because it would only be guessing. I'm sure Red or Valerie can help. Good luck!
