If he ever gets out, hopefully he'll be sent over to you so that he can be tried for whatever he's done on your side. However, from the Telegraph article: "Mr Justice Moses that the offence was so serious he would spend the rest of his life in prison" - *they don't often say that*. If you read the article (there is other material available which you can find via Google) you can see that there is a very persuasive lot of evidence pointing to his guilt.

I haven't heard of aqppeals on such trivial matters - after all, the trial has taken place, the transcript is only a record. Appeals on new evidence do sometimes happen.
