Steve I don't want to come across as a crazy, but remember what I said about being the dominant species on Earth and responsibilitys. I should have been more specific on the responsibility part.

An exelent correlation to the high powered rifle and a snow machine sienario, is there are mokeys in the world that will use a wet stick,stick it into an ant hill and eat the ants off the stick. Viewed strictly at the domminant species aspect of it all. If the ant that the monkey was eating was going extinct would we as higher beings be saying bad monkey for using a tool. No , because we have the ability to realize that the monkey is acting in its bounds as a species to fullfil a need. In some people we have the need or desire (what ever you choose) to hunt ,evolutionary instincts of an earlier time. We as a species should not feel guilty of using our superior intelect, and the creation of mechanicalized tools, against the other species of the earth. But should feel guilty when we abuse the the other species. Such as drive them to extinction. Witch I would find it very hard to see the logic in.

I find it hard to take the stance of a superior being and judge humans for being humans. We as a species will evolve as will all others. with the grace, patience, and input of all hopefully our evolvolution will take course witch will survive the scrutiny of people in the future.

Be clear in what I am trying to say be responsible as a domminant species, realize that future generations may want to enjoy the resourse of wildlilfe. We should not feel guilty with hunting witch results in the killing of an animal, but should feel guilty if the killing of the animal results in the extinction of an animal. One must ask themselves what is realy bothering them the hunting and the use of superoir tools, or the killing of the animal. If it is the use of tools, deevolve, I'm sure no one will protest. If is the killing of the animal look at what we as humans use other animals on Earth for. Food and many other products come from those poor animals, whom without we would not at present survive without.

Or is it just the fact that you don't agree with hunting alltogether?
I hope I put my thoughts on the issue at hand across clear Enuf.
