Dems panic over new poll

Party operatives are calling for heads to roll in the Kerry campaign. A new Time poll taken prior to the election shows Bush leading Kerry by 11 points.

As I see it, it's all up to the ad guys now and a new black and white DNC spot showing an empty warehouse with a Bush voice over talking about job creation is a good start. But dems need to hit harder.

If it were up to me I'd gamble on our base out performing the Republicans in most states and concentrate almost all of the money on the battle ground states. That's where the action is and the Bush war chest is huge. Dems need to hammer hard on the economy and point out the economic lies of the opposition.

In my opinion, the call for a "positive" tone at the dems convention was one of the biggest blunders in presidential campaign history. They gave the Bush team a free pass and that stupidity was only exceeded by the decision to make Kerry's war hero status the central theme of the campaign.

We really have our work cut out for us.
