It's funny that you posted this today. I just got on here ready to ask everyone's opinion on Rev. Phelps. He and some of his church members recently came to Colorado Springs (where I live) to protest at a high school. They are protesting because one of the students wants to have a Gay/Straight Alliance club. Rev. Phelps and 9 of his church members turned up with signs that said "God hates Fags" and others similar. I'm very proud of my community. While he and his 9 members came to protest, 500 people came out to oppose him. It was a peaceful protest (as peaceful as it could be.)
I know many churches don't believe homosexuality is O.K., but, to have the message he and his members do is outrageous. So much for equality.
