The UN is toothless, and should be, regardless of its charter. It should never have been allowed to be anything more than a debate club to help reach international consensus.

Had this been the case, there never would have been the toothless and useless resolutions (what an ironic term, considering what happens with most New Year's resolutions). The first Gulf War would have been the end of Hussein, assuming he ever would have come to power.

The UN is a parasite, sucking political power and money from the member nations for the benefit of the member ambassadors. It may have been necessary when it was created, but it does more harm than good now.
