Re: Ms

Hey slipstream my sister is in her last stages. She is mostly in bed these days but manages to get around for important occasions the MS society has been great to her. They've sent her on "get away"trips and made her take up painting (which is pretty good considering she couldn't even draw a stick figure once ) My son lives with her and her husband and helps look after her. He did this because she wouldn't stop smoking in bed and she'd forget the smoke was in her hand (she's started a few bed fires, silly woman) so they threatened to put her in a home. she'd determined to die at home so they do their best to help her.

I have to admit the attacks these days are pretty bad and when she ends up in hospital we never know whether she is coming out again. But like I said she's very determined.

all the kids in our family (there's a hell of a lot of them) all do the MS read-a-thon, and I'm thinking of doing the bike-a-thon if I can get the funds together, quickly.

Anyway chin up, and don't let it get you down too much. Try to get everything the society offers you and act on it, it will keep you busy and there is a lot of people out there willing to make your life better dispite the illness. good luck matey!
