Re: Russia: Crackdown on Protestants/Putin picks a church
At one time, under Yeltzin, a large russian military aircraft was given permission to enter US airspace and land at chicago Ohare airport, the plane collected up the first of 350 high school and college aged kids who were invited to Moscow through a ministry program called 'Basic Life Principles'... I'm not sure how many trips the aircraft made but, my cousin was in the group on that aircraft. he stayed on a cruisehip docked in the moscow river and every day he went out with bibles and bags of ingredients to make a loaf of fresh bread, which was at the time in very very short supply.
I'll have to check and see if that ministry still operates in Russia, at one time they ran the orphanages in Moscow supplying food and clothing and teachers for the kids to learn english.
