Re: In God's Name?

God ordered the killing of entire nations, read the old testament accounts of the campaign against the cannanites and many others, the amelikites, edomites and the list goes on and on.

Lets not forget the biblical account of the flood either, He destroyed all life save Noah's family.

Personally I think there are very few real men of God left on this earth, the rest of us struggle with our own inability to truly see life from God's perspective. I think If I was truly a man of God I'd be able to forgive the terrorists that have killed my friends. I cannot, I will not. And I know in that lies my mortality and faith.

In the times I have killed in combat I have never done it in Gods name. I believe it was right to do, but not in Gods name.

But to get closer to the thread, If these terrorists truly saw life from Gods perspective then they would lay down their arms and seek peace.
