Hossy hossy hossy . i know athiests who have been brought up athiests who do exactly that as well . Upbringing yes, Religious? Are you saying that your parents would not have instilled these things in you had they not been religious?
I also know religious people that pertain they follow the gospels and are complete pricks ......................but they are sure to let you know they pray.

You'll notice that the lords prayer is not a prayer in itself. the words are being taught as an example and not a written down verbatin prayer . Remember what jesus says about saying words over and over. It means nothing so just to recite the words of the example is not enough Remember jesus words. "for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."
So that's basically what the bible says about praying. Notice how he mentions the hypocrits praying out loud in the synagogues? So the next time you're in church and you decide to get involved with the singing or put yourself in a trance like state and waving your arms everywhere and looking a bit like Joe Cocker ? Remember jesus words . You already have your reward ......................god doesnt' like a stage show.
