The President should not debate Kerry

Senator Kerrry has access to secrets that could be harmful to our troops and the war if revealed. He has a history of revealing secrets as he did again, just this last week. If the President gets him in a corner, Kerry will use whatever he knows to get himself out...even if it means revealing more sensitive information. Kerry has proven in the past that our having troops in harms way won't stop him. The President should avoid putting Kerry in a high pressure situation where he may lose control of his tongue.

I too want to see debates. They are the only opportunity we have to stand them side by side and compare. Maybe they shoud be done with a time delay so Loose Lips kerry can't sink the ship.

I think we have a lot more to worry about if Kerry lacks the discipline to keep sensitive information to himself.

I doubt he'll do what you are worried about though. The consequences are too great.

Re: The President should not debate Kerry

Kerry has now made it known that he will focus on Iraq until the election. He is doing with Iraq, the same thing he did with Vietnam. He assumes both wars are the same. His M.O. now is to demorilize the citizenry and the troops just like he did with Vietnam. Vietnam may have been wrong but so were Kerry's tactics. Today, he is capitalizing on any negative he can find in the Iraq situation. You can rest assured that givin a forum with as many people listening as there will be when he debates the President, he will pull out all the stops. If he has sensitive information he will use it then just like he always has.

Yes, good analysis. I am looking forward to the debates. I can't wait to hear what Kerry's policies will be. (At least for this week.)

It's easy to criticize. Let's see if he can rise above it.

Is staying flexible and watching the poles a policy?

If it was good enough for Clinton!

Re: The President should not debate Kerry

Damn rights we're entitled to a debate....and no, none of this "time delay" ****....real time only.
I'm so frickin tired of wondering what i'm seeing has been edited or not and where.

Personally, i think the both of them are dummies...but it comes down to the lesser of two evils. IMO i believe gore and clinton offered more intellect then either bush, or kerry.

I believe bush has a strong business sense...be it a derivitive of greed, or whatever.....as far as i can tell , Kerry is just another guy who figures he knows enough about how to "yap" the political talk.

I wish i knew what matters most...and that's the truth.....but you never will at the ranks we common peasants reside at, and that's why you'll never make the difference.

It's not negative thinking...it's realistic thinking.
Honest to godly....like what major -big time business owners are goin to stand by and let society's ****-up's -> the welfarer's , the working stiffs, the lower middle class, dictate the economic future of which profits and therefore , jobs are to be had? Really.

just my 2 cents

It's the same thing, here in canada. We've got this fella "Paul Martin", and although these guys all have their own agenda, i feel just that little bit more safer knowing that one of the world's richest shipping magnates, and therefore business master is at the helm of the country's finances then that silly frog from quebec....or anyone else for that matter.

Re: The President should not debate Kerry

I agree that President Bush has good business sense. I’m really not a great fan of his though. I disagree on Kerry. He isn’t as benign as you indicate. Kerry has a destructive, demoralizing core that comes to the surface in his speeches. He is demoralizing the electorate and worse than that, our troops while they are facing the enemy. If he can spread as much black paint as he does now, what would he be like if he had the presidential bully pulpit? I’m all for free speech but what Kerry is doing is akin to yelling fire in a theater.
