Winter pet peeves

Apologies in advance if there is already a thread on pet peeves but this is specific to winter.

I just got back from a quick errand to the bank and what irritates the heck out of me is one, people who don't put their headlights on so I can see them in the falling snow and two, people in front of me who don't brush the snow off their cars so it thens blows on my windshield as they go zooming down the road. Arrgghhh!

Yeah, I make sure I sweep as much snow off as I can before driving.

Pet peeve one: Slipping on ice at work. I've fallen a couple times on areas that should have been salted.

Pet peeve two: Man, my skin is dry!

We don't get much but flurries here so my pet peeve are cell phones. People driving down the road and not paying attention and almost cause you to hit them as they swerve/get into your lane without a blinker, and they're talking on the phone. GRRRRRRRRRRR. It's the not paying attention driving that gets me, I'd love to have a cell phone.

Once a boyfriend of mine hadn't cleared his windshield off adequately and the whole shield was still covered except a little place RIGHT in front of him driving.
Everything was fine until the last thing we saw was a persons arms FLAILING in the glass and we swerved/became stuck in a snow drift.............turns out the person was a jogger and kept going but it was a close one!

People complaining about the roads being bad, when I count it a good day when I can get down our driveway.

.......and then back up again.

Re: Winter pet peeves

More than just pet peeve, I hate the SNOW & ICE in the North, so last week we traveled to our Southern Villa, where there is none. Ain't life grand!

Anyway, getting back to Winter pet peeves,

I used to hate it when going a cautious 35mph on newly SNOW covered roads & some dufus would be "10" ft off my back bumper.

I used to hate it when I just finished cleaning our 30 degree slanted Driveway, & along comes the plow "again" & plows 4 ft of snowcurl back on to it!

I used to hate it when some dufus with "bald" tires would get stuck on the little incline on the SNOW covered roads, causing a major backup behind them.

In England, it's illegal to leave snow on the car for the very reason you hate it. In England, there are loads of lawbreakers that drive snow-covered vehicles.
I love driving in the snow. Rear-wheel drive is best for this fun.
