WASHINGTON (Disassociated Press) May 15, 2006 – During a segment of a televised speech last night which was broadcast only within the United States, President Bush disclosed to the nation that his intention to deploy U.S. military forces to the Mexican border was in preparation for an invasion of that country...

I think, without looking at the link, that the disassociated press must be similiar to "the onion" with its satire of the media.

We are, I fear, in the presence of a joker.

I'd be more than happy for the USA to expand its borders in whatever direction it chooses. The UK would make a great Atlantic version of Hawaii, for example. Gibraltar could be the 53rd State of the Union, and - who knows... how about Singapore for the 54th. Come and take us, boys, we're lying here on our backs with our legs in the air. All we want in exchange is a couple of Senators and a few Congressmen that we get to vote for ourselves. We have just the guys here, believe me - George Galloway and Tony Benn, you'd love to listen to them in your debates. God, it would be worth surrendering without a shot in exchange for that.
