Must admit some surprise that you need legislation for something like this it's not as if the fact they were gay etc gets hidden is it? If you're studying any person pr period of history it's perhaps something thats relavant in that cultural attiutudes affect behaviour -attitudes towards domestic violence and whether children should be beaten for instance-apart from that why the need to emphasise it. If its relevant yes if not who cares? Why the hang up about it? Though the outrage that films such as alexander cause in the states because of its portrayal of alexander as gay was surprising. It's not as though it was a little known feature of his life is it. |
