Pre-Foreclosure pros & cons, please

My beloved & I are considering buying a pre-foreclosure house, a house that the owner can't pay for but the bank hasn't taken yet. We've looked online & there is plenty of general advice -- very informative.

Has anybody done this? Any advice?

The house I bought was on foreclosure.

I bought it for 90,000. Put 125,000. into it and its worth 410,000. today. Look into the area.......look into what money you have to put into the house...............very IMPORTANT...................what do you have to invest in the house to get a 33% return. If you cannot...rethink it.

How much access did you have to the house before you bought it? Walk-thrus, inspections, etc. Did you use a realtor?
