Anyone else "like" the ex'es new spouse?
This came up in a telephone conversation I had with Rick's Daughter-in-law the other day. She and her ex husband have a 13 year old daughter. Brenda is primary caretaker, ex has visitation. Her ex remarried last year. Brenda and him have been divorced for about 10 years, Brenday remarried a couple of months before Rick and I were married. Brenda and her ex are not on the best of terms..divorce was not happy.
Anyway, the conversation went to her ex husband's new wife, and a conversation they were having. Brenda told me that if she had met this lady in any other circumstances, they probably would have ended up being good friends. Anyone else have similar tales to tell?

Re: Anyone else "like" the ex'es new spouse?
My ex-wifes fiance is a decent bloke and we get on very well. It's good really as I would feel uncomfortable if my daughter was living with someone who was a bit of an arse.
My ex's codename for him when they were first seeing each other was "Mandy". I knew all about it but didn't say anything. His actual name is Dan, same as my son, so to avoid confusion, he's Dandy to me ![]()

Re: Anyone else "like" the ex'es new spouse?
I've never kept in touch with any of my exes, but I did once date a guy whom I didn't know had a live-in girlfriend!!!
It was never anything serious anyway, but I happened to meet her due to someone else knowing them, and introduced me to her - I had to try and act normal! I really liked her - I told the guy to sod off after that. |

My husband's x and I email each other jokes and pics of the grandson all the time.
Never thought we'd get to the point where we could get along. ![]()
