Thanks for posting this, i understand LWOP is rare in England. does it MEAN life without? we'd like him back in florida, but sounds like justice has been reached in UK. Good. i hope the sentence does not waffle about like over here, no appeals except on evidence right? ...no stupid appeals based on mis-spellings in trial transcripts like over here?

If he ever gets out, hopefully he'll be sent over to you so that he can be tried for whatever he's done on your side. However, from the Telegraph article: "Mr Justice Moses that the offence was so serious he would spend the rest of his life in prison" - *they don't often say that*. If you read the article (there is other material available which you can find via Google) you can see that there is a very persuasive lot of evidence pointing to his guilt.

I haven't heard of aqppeals on such trivial matters - after all, the trial has taken place, the transcript is only a record. Appeals on new evidence do sometimes happen.
