Re: Envy
Depends in what context you mean the question to be taken in. For example, if you mean "would I like to be somone else if I was in serious trouble", then I suppose the answer would be yes. If it were taken in the context of aspiring to be like someone else, then no. That is, "I aspire to behave or have the skills of someone else", but not to be that person, warts and all.
I hope that makes sense, I've just gotten up ![]() ![]()

Re: Envy
Wanting to be someone other than myself is a waste of time, and I could be using that time to make who I am a better person and more agreeable to myself.
I like me anyway, regardless of my imperfections, and being anyone but myself would be like wearing a suit that didn't fit, no matter how good it looked on someone else. |

Re: Envy
No. I only know how to be myself and that's all I'm interested in. Sometimes I know I'm not the best self I could be and sometime my feathers get ruffled if I think someone's cooler than I am but part of being cool is knowing you really aren't all that. So I just remember that part. I can only be me. And I do that pretty well.

Re: Envy
No. I love being me, faults and all!
I know I'm nasty sometimes, I know I can be a total bitch. Those things come in handy sometimes though. No-one tries to take advantage anymore, because they don't want to deal with the resulting hassle. Even my friends at work have started getting a better deal when leadership team sees me talking to them, as they know they'll ask me for advice...hehehehe. So, my 'bad side' does have positive benefits to others sometimes! Lots of other people have had it much easier than me, are better looking than me, earn more than me. Do I care? No. I've learnt to like me the way I am, warts and all. |
