| Amber Alert Forum The AMBER Alert System began in 1996 when Dallas-Fort Worth broadcasters teamed with local police to develop an early warning system to help find abducted children. AMBER stands for America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response and was created as a legacy to 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was kidnaped while riding her bicycle in Arlington, Texas, and then brutally murdered. Other states and communities soon set up their own AMBER plans as the idea was adopted across the nation. |

28 day old Florida Infant
Amber Alert Issued for 28 day Old Florida boy
Posted: Friday December 1, 2006: 7:55 PM CST The Fort Myers Police Department and the FDLE issued the Amber Alert after the child was abducted at knifepoint on December 1, 2006. Bryan Desanto Gomaz, 28 days old. He's 12 pounds with black hair. He's also a white male. The suspect is a woman described as 28 to 30 years old with black straight hair partially in a bun, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and wearing a black T-shirt, according to police. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. The suspect vehicle is a black, 2-door SUV with older peeling tinted windows, last seen in the Alico Road area. Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Myers police at 239-338-2120 or dial 911.
