Re: 2004 Olympics

I am! I'm looking forward to most of the events. All I wish for is a HDTV so I can watch the events in high def.

That would be great!

Here are some news blurbs from today:

Looks like Greece Lightning is in trouble. I wonder why he missed his drug test.

Greek Sprinters' Injuries 'Not Serious' - Official

Thu Aug 12, 9:02 PM ET

By Ellie Tzortzi

ATHENS (Reuters) - Greece's two top sprinters were not seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash but it was unclear if they could compete in the Athens Olympics even if cleared on doping charges, a senior Greek sports official said Friday.

Costas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou had been upset before the crash after being told they faced being barred from the Games because of missed drugs tests, athletics federation chief Vassilis Sevastis told reporters outside the hospital.

"As you will understand their psychological state was not good. It seems that it's not something very serious. Tests are ongoing. They will stay overnight in the hospital," he said.

Re: 2004 Olympics

I'm watching the Olympics. I'm enjoying them. I did not watch the last two Summer Games. I'm not sure why. Maybe just busy?

What other channels are the Olympics playing on? I feel that I'm missing so much. They (of course) are focusing on the events where we have a strong American Team.

Re: 2004 Olympics

NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, basically all the NBC channels. They have it on other channels on Hi-def and DirecTV.
