Went to get some X Rays

This morning I went to get some X Rays done, on my hip and both knees. OK< be reminded I have some painful arthritus going on. Thus, the order for the X Rays. First I had to stand through the whole thing. Then this person put my hip and then my knees through some contortions that would have been hard under the best of curcumstances. Forget I was having some pain going on before I even walked in.
It was like..OK twist you foot this way..your knee that way. Put the other foot here..this one there. It was like playing that game of Twister and doing the Hokey Pokey all at the same time.
Finally I had to say, listen , sweetie, my feet and knees are not going there...and forget the hip...IT is not moving. It was about 20 minutes of sheer torture. Glad I took some Advil before going in.

Is this in preparation for replacement or checking on progress?

Whichever, I hope they sort the pain out for you PDQ.

Re: Went to get some X Rays

Well, This is in prep for deciding what to do. I have just started with a new primary doctor who was totally amazed that after two years of progressivly worsening pain and discomfort, the best my old doctor could tell me was "Take More Advil". THIS is why my old doctor is my OLD doctor. I have an appointment this afternoon with my new doctor.

I've seen some really good results with replacements but it takes some hard work at the beginning to get full movement.

Re: Went to get some X Rays

Well, I am back from the doctor. Yes there is moderate arthritus, but still not bad enough to warrant any surgical intervention. She made some reccomendations, and I am back to see her in four months. When I was off tralking to the appointment lady, the doctor came back out of her office and said to me "Remember, if what I have suggested does not work, and the pain gets worse, don't wait the four months, call and make an appointment. I will hook you up with an orthopedic doctor."

I think I am glad I switched to the new doctor. She seems really nice.
