Stephen Seagal - The Musician

I'm not sure if it's because I should get out more often, but I had no idea that Movie star Stephen Seagal was also an accomplished musician. His band are playing locally after Christmas and the local Radio station played a couple of tracks off his forthcoming album tonight as I was driving home. I was expecting it to be rubbish but was surprised that one of the tracks in particular was excellent. His voice and guitar work are pretty good. The songs were a bit bluesy, in fact one of the tracks was a collaboration with Bo Diddley, and at times reminded me of Eric Clapton, vocally and in style.
This is quite a departure from his on-screen persona. What you see isn't always what you get

Juliette Lewis seems to have made an enduring transition into music too. It's surprising how quickly you forget what they're better known for when you listen to them.
Of course, this doesn't apply to Clive Dunn

Unfortunatly when musicians try and act the results are usually, (ahem) "mixed".

Thats a good point, I just thought he was a honest karate-musician "in the wrong place at the wrong time" (usually a terrorist time, and a big place with lots of guns in it). Still I must check his songs out, don't want to be unfair, maybe his lack of acting ability gives him more music-power or something?

Re: Stephen Seagal - The Musician

Wow I never would of pictured Stephen Seagal as a musician, just the hard muscle type that you wouldn't want to make angry. Just goes to prove that there is often more to people than what you may at first think!
