Re: missing twin toddlers

God that sickens me. when are people going to learn not to take womens babies away from them. Granted I hope they find them safe and well but I have no sympathy what so ever for the adoptive parents.

Re: missing twin toddlers

i would think the adoptive parents loved and wanted them, and adopted in good faith.

Re: missing twin toddlers

When someone says after 12 hours to give them back It is right, moral and just to do so. I'm not surprised at the amount of these kind of abductions in your country. This is what happens when laws are changed for the rich to profit and the poor to suffer. THis is what happens when laws are put before human beings.

I would think so too.
I would also think it's awful hard for the mother as well.
There's no winner in this situation.

North Carolina Changes Adoption Law

Effective November 1, 2001

Three significant changes to North Carolina's Adoption Law go into effect on November 1, 2001......
......

3. Revocation Period

The revocation period for relinquishment of newborn children will now be seven days instead of 21. This means that placing parents can not change their minds about relinquishment after the seven-day period.

Re: missing twin toddlers

i will add my thoughts on two levels. 1. the law IS what it is, if they are the legal parents. this is an abduction, nomatter who the abductor is. it should have gone through legal channels. the 'no-winners' here are ultimately the children. 2. because of personal experience with adoption, i believe the adoptive parents are the 'real' parents in all but biology.

Re: missing twin toddlers

Well that is interesting, Floppy. Seven day period to change a person's mind..............in contrast to 12 hour request when she asked for them.
