I thought it appropriate to put a new journal up, as one of the last things I'll be posting here for a while. I don't want a thread to subject myself to dozens of replies or efforts to change my mind or "help me see the light." I don't want PM's about it, I don't want any response to it at all.

This place has gone to hell in a quick, choreographed leap. And it's the members here who have done it. All the bitching and whining that is done here has become more than is tolerable. There is enough grief in my own life to keep me supplied till Rapture. I used to come here to escape reality. Now, reality's ugly face is blinding me. I have seen people I enjoyed, people I thought were intelligent, turn into sniping, sniveling idiots, right out here in public for the whole world to see. I've seen people continually, repeatedly, CONSTANTLY having one bitch or another with some member or another or some topic or another or whatever the hell they feel like complaining about.
There were days, long ago, when I would come in here and run up against something like that and I was actually jealous of people who had such lives that they would WASTE TIME on a forum to voice and give creedence to such moronic complaints. The more of it I saw, the less I felt jealousy. Now....well, now it's just disgust. Intolerance, impatience and a bit of disappointment that a favorite hang-out has been turned into a toilet.
I have been let down by people my whole life. Stupid to think that might change.
You know who you are, all of you. You should be ashamed.
