The fastest you've been
So, what's the fastest you've been in/on any vehicle?
On a bike it's 145 on a straight road, no traffic. In a car it's 130 on the motorway purely just through not looking at the speedo..oops! Are you sensible or a speedfreak? |

Re: The fastest you've been
I drove at 135mph once when i bought myself a new sports car, at that point i got a little scared and slowed down. I was passing cars as if they were standing still on a duel carriageway.
I hardly ever speed now, on a long run i set the computer on the car so i cannot exceed the limit. |

![]() Wow, the difference in speed calculations! I would be bye-bye at 135. I have hit 90 mph in the desert, that is pretty fast here. |

I went 140 In my brother's car. He told me to do it. It's weird to see everything coming at you so fast!

Re: The fastest you've been
225 mph.
In a plane. Yes, I was flying it. In a car...about 105 on the highway. One of my "when I hit the lotto" wishes is a few laps at Talladega in a NASCAR car.

Re: The fastest you've been
125 in my 1969 Camero with me driving. 140 in a 1965 Olds 4-4-2 but I wasn't driving. I'm at my limit at 80 now and that's only in the middle of Idaho on a clear day with light traffic.

Re: The fastest you've been
144 in a 30 zone on the back of the old gits R1 on the A10 in london - that was to fast for me - but he reckons he did about 160 in the south of france.
Edited to add ; 160 was on a 600 Ninja - i think . |

Re: The fastest you've been
Jeez I'm bloody Mr Magoo in comparison.
105 mph in my own car, a Datsun (Nissan) 2000 sports in 1972. Top down. Do you know stuff flies out everywhere at that speed? 100 mph on a (borrowed) Honda 650cc in 1974 - and Mr Stupid wasn't wearing a helmet, I'm embarrrassed to say. 110 mph in a police vehicle chasing a bloke, that's the fastest I've gone but that probably doesn't count (caught him too). |
