what are some of the good tips you've found in all those self help books?
What works, what doesn't?
Are there different rules for men and women or are we all playing with the same dice?

What a fab question, ive never read a self help book though, spose ive always been a bit sceptical about them

I've never been good in the business world. Too blunt.

I think being married, for men at least, is part of the good image.
I've not been too good at that either.

No. I really want a summary of things people have learned about struggling up the corporate ladder.

Its a tough ladder - I think listening is so important.
Communication - if you don't understand - don't be intimidated to ask questions.
The more questions asked - shows interest - shows the commitment - also a learning tool for growth. The more you know the more valuable you are.
Do a thorough job - not just a ok job.
The list could go on & on, I feel the above is the most important, other than the obvious as be on time - clean - etc..

Treat contracts like covenents.

Never go into business with a man that is disrespectful to his wife. When she files for divorce she gets half yer money too!

Communication - if you don't understand - don't be intimidated to ask questions. The more questions asked - shows interest - shows the commitment - also a learning tool for growth.
