Because bereaved parents is what we are. You'll forgive me for a
copy and paste, it is about all I can do right now.

It is with the very heaviest of hearts that I must tell
you my dear, sweet Tamsen, the most wonderful girl dog
a mommy could ever hope to have, has just passed away.
At home, on her comfy bed, with her head in my lap and
her daddy close by.

Tamsen's spirit was still very willing... she even played
a little with her toys last night... but she was rapidly
losing strength in her hind legs, and her daddy and I
decided it was time to let her go.

Having a vet hug and kiss your girl and tell her how
strong she was and how brave is very touching. I
thanked the vet for the option of keeping Tamsen at
home. It wasn't very easy for them, either, but they
(she and the tech) were the most compassionate I have
known.

Thank you, my Tamsen, for making me laugh, for being
such a good girl from day one; even for making me cry
sometimes, as I am now. For protecting me those times
when you were sure I needed protecting. Most especially
thank you for waiting so patiently in the car while
your daddy and I went in to the JP to get married, and
for celebrating with us afterwards with a cheeseburger
lunch.

I am also comforted to know that Neke and Lando (and
so many others) were there to greet you and show you
around that wonderful golden place called Heaven.

You gave your daddy and me your all for over 14 years,
the last almost 4 with only 3 legs. It was a supreme
effort, you truly were a credit to the fine heritage
of your noble breed.

Run free, my sweetie, I know you are young again and
healthy and chasing bun-buns to your heart's delight.

I will never forget you and will love you until the end
of my days.

Val and Paul, i can't tell you how sad i feel, i've come to know Tamsen as i have both of you.

That is so touching. My heart bleeds for you. Post pics and talk about your lovely family member and pet on FG for weeks and months to follow. My last thoughts of the day are with you, as good a night as is possible and my best wishes to you and yours.

Not sure Valerie if you'll appreciate this from me or not, but I am deeply sorry for you and for Paul. I'm sure you couldn't have been better parents to Tamsen.
