~Dick Morris Exclusive: It's Condi vs. Hillary in 2008
Dick Morris, the nation's most prominent political consultant, says the 2008 race is shaping up to be showdown between two of America's most popular women: Condi Rice and Hillary Clinton.

Dick Morris exclusively details how the 2008 race could turn out to be the race of the century in the latest edition of NewsMax Magazine just hitting newsstands across the country (including many Barnes & Nobles and Books-a-Millions).

Few are better positioned to analyze the 2008 race than Dick Morris.

Morris, who also serves as a Fox News commentator, accurately called the 2004 race for Bush when most pundits and polls said Bush would lose.

And few know Bill and Hillary Clinton better than Dick Morris. For more than two decades Dick Morris was an intimate friend and advisor to Bill & Hillary.

It was Dick Morris who Hillary first called during the desperate days of the Clinton's first term in the White House.

Now Dick Morris tells all about Hillary's strengths and weaknesses, and why she is definitely the Democratic nominee in 2008.

In a surprising analysis, Morris writes in NewsMax Magazine that Condoleezza Rice is the only Republican on the national scene who can beat Hillary and keep the GOP in the White House.

In this special NewsMax report "Condi vs. Hillary," Morris reveals:

How Hillary planned her presidential run for decades and how Morris was stunned when he first heard of her "Governor Hillary" plans
Morris' secret polls on behalf of candidate Hillary
The vow Hillary made when she discovered the shocking poll results
The role Bill Clinton will play - and what Bill really thinks of a President Hillary
Details of Hillary's desperation call to him in Sept. of 1994.
The political maneuver Morris taught Hillary -- one she is employing to win the Presidency. Hillary called Morris a "little devil" when she grasped his idea.
The frightening reality: how Hillary, despite her negatives, could be elected President
Why Condi Rice is America's Thatcher, and the only candidate who can stop Hillary.
Why Condi can beat Rudy, McCain or even Schwarzenegger in the primaries and win the November election.
How Rice's candidacy would enrage the "liberal" establishment and "shatter all the glass ceilings" in America.
How Condi Rice's resume shames Hillary; Condi made it on her own - Hillary grabbed onto Bill coattails
There is much, much more in Dick Morris' penetrating analysis of the 2008 race - and the likely showdown between Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton.

Condoleezza Rice looks a lot more like presidential material in 2008 than Hillary Clinton

By SPECIAL TO CITIZEN-TIMES
Jan. 5, 2005 5:08 p.m.
It's too early four years ahead to predict the outcome of the 2008 presidential election.

But mark my words - there are thousands of Kerry voters still stewing over the recent election results.

That will happen until at least 2008 (for some, years to come). Presently, it seems as though two women may have the best shot at becoming the next president of the U.S.

Few can argue that Hillary looks to be the Democrat front- runner. Clinton has guile, and she has proved she can win. And, without a doubt, she can play moderate to win the presidency.

But National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice is a politician of a different persuasion.

She's going to be secretary of state, and she's knee-deep in an impressive Republican bench of presumptive presidential nominees.

Those include George Allen, Bill Frist, Rudy Giuliani, Chuck Hagel, John McCain, Bill Owens, George Pataki, Mitt Romney, and possibly Tommy Thompson or Colin Powell.

There's no doubt that Hillary is loved by many - many who don't seem to really know her.

What Peggy Noonan (Wall Street Journal) says after speaking to many of Hillary's friends and enemies: "What I concluded was that Mrs. Clinton was an unusually cynical leftist political operative who had no great respect for the citizens of the U.S. or for America itself, but who saw our country as a platform for her core ambitions: to rise and achieve historic personal and political power both with her husband and without him."

Dick Morris, who's credited for former President Bill Clinton's 1996 comeback victory, and was "the" political consultant for the Clinton administration, seems even clearer on Hillary's true intentions.

He admits that Hillary and Bill had a relationship based on the sick cycle of "accusation-denial-admission- reward" for decades.

For putting up with Gennifer Flowers and going on "60 Minutes" to "stand by her man," Hillary got control of the health-care policy. For Monica Lewinsky, she got a Senate seat.

Hillary can't seem to admit the truth. She defended Bill because she didn't want him forced from office - ending both of their political careers - because he'd been unfaithful to her. But shockingly, it's a given that people will actually vote for Hillary if/when she runs.

Rice, on the other hand, got where she's going now directly due to hard work. Born in Birmingham, Ala., on Nov. 15, 1954, her list of accomplishments is incredibly numerous, and can easily be found on multiple Web sites.

Just a few include the professor of political science at Stanford, the recipient of two of its highest teaching awards, receiving her PhD in international studies at the University of Denver, and the writing of three books.

Later, after becoming national security adviser, she has now been nominated to be secretary of state.

From her experience with the international community and sheer intelligence alone, outgoing Secretary of State Powell should shudder in her shadow. After the NAACP denigrated her possible candidacy, one has to realistically wonder if they are for the "Advancement of Colored People" or the liberal agenda.

Apparently, liberals believe Rice compares unfavorably to Madeleine Albright (first woman secretary of state). Many have said Albright's principal accomplishment before becoming secretary of state was managing to attain the age of 60 without realizing she was Jewish.

But with her at the helm of the State Department, Osama bin Laden ran wild throughout the Middle East and the North Koreans began a frenzied buildup of nukes under her nose. How easily we forget.

Sure, Condy's a preacher's kid, can play Brahms quite well (the piano), trained to be a competitive ice skater, is a devoted Presbyterian who goes to church regularly and has never doubted the existence of a Heavenly Father. If some of that scares you, maybe you shouldn't be voting next election - period.

She readily admits that Sept. 11, 2001, wasn't a failure, but a period of crisis when faith was very important. Her faith allows her to have a kind of optimism about the future.

One thing that would be productive is to ask Condy's belief about the killing of unborn children (abortion). Considering her religious background, however, her views are likely known.

It would feel quite comfortable with Condy in the White House, especially when Hillary says/admits that another terrorist attack on American soil is inevitable.

It would behoove us to definitely favor someone who would work to prevent that from ever occurring, rather than someone who would likely ask the scandalized U.N. to solve the problem. Then again, one's opinion follows one's priorities.

Originally from New Orleans, Kevin Roeten has a B.S. from Louisiana Tech in chemical engineering. He lives in south Asheville.
