Alert! CLOTHES DESIGNERS!! (please)

Do you think that Clothes designers are aware that the largest (pun) market for clothes these days are for "Senior" aged people AND the "plump" to "voluptious" (to say the least)...teehee. I happen to be "a bit" overweight and as I look around it seems that more and more folks are. We read and hear about "obesity" and it danger. I'm in full agreement. It does appear that the problem of "weight" is a well known fact AND I'm hearing all the time that there's so many more "seniors" and gaining in number. So why do we keep seeing the clothing market directed toward "youth and bones"?? I happen to be SHORT and overweight. If I were 6 ft 5" I'd be skinny as a rail with my weight. But I'm SHORT!!! Inform me please if there's anyone else that has "mucho" problems finding sizes in "short" sizes? 'not petite; just short. I once was "petite", but these days, I'm just short!! Nothing "fits". I AM NO SIZE that is "available". Either the waist line is at my thighs or the hem line is under my feet!!...................if I can get into it otherwise. IT'S AWFUL!!!Yes, I'm strictly "working on it", but that may take awhile.............I need something to wear NOW!!! I'm tired of sweat pants and Tees.

American and European designers have long neglected the real bodies we inhabit. sorry, i had opposite problem my whole life...i am 5'11" and never could get jeans long enough. everything seemed to be geared to midgets as far as i was concerned. it has been better last ten years. but true couture ignores all but the anorexic. LaCroix sweetie-darling...well bollocks. i do have some outrageous LaCroix leopard sunglasses however, that i paid WAY too much money for in key west.

....but my entire life was an exercise in futility of getting clothes to fit. evidently women are only 5'6" and weigh 73 pounds. (thankfully our uniforms are unisex).

I think that it is going to be a lot of bright colors...... that and just plain black. i don't think that any moderate tones will be in this year... but don't take my word on that one!!!

Just a suggestion here, I'm short also....I do alot of my shopping in New York and Company....they have a wide range of sizes from 1 to 18 and in tall, med and short...the clothes are good quality and resonably priced.
And just remember...good things come in small packages!
