Buying a Car Online

The last new car that I purchased was done online and was the best auto buying experience of my life. I hate to go car looking in person. I hate the run around and all the games that are played at dealerships. I would rather have a root canal.
I knew exactly what I wanted to buy, color, options etc. and knew what I wanted to pay. The whole thing was done online, I picked the car up within 10 miles of where I live, and couldn't be happier with the purchase.
Anyone else bought a car online?

My daughter bought her last car on line and it seemed to go very well. I like to see the car drive it kick the tyres etc and i enjoy testing a few first so i tend to go to main dealers.

I kicked the tires and had already road tested the exact model that I purchased, but still bought online.

Re: Buying a Car Online

When I first saw this I though it was about buying a car on E-bay! I foolishly did that 4 years ago, & that was not a nice & or good experience. But I then realized that you bought your car from a car dealer Lon. It was good that you first test drove the actual car & kicked the tires IRL before buying it "on line". Yes I agree, car dealer's IRL can be frustrating to say the least! I just may buy my next car on line form an authorized dealer, sounds like a lot less of a hassle.

Re: Buying a Car Online

More and more people are doing this these days. The salesman have made the experience intolerable. Not to mention you can go at it armed with pertinent dealer invoice info that wasnt as accessible 10 yrs ago.
