HPV Vaccine Warning
This is what the drug manufacturers are trying to make mandatory for 11 year old girls... our children.
"Merck and the FDA have not been completely honest with the people about the pre-licensure clinical trials," said NVIC president Barbara Loe Fisher. "Merck's pre and post-licensure marketing strategy has positioned mass use of this vaccine by pre-teens as a morality play in order to avoid talking about the flawed science they used to get it licensed. This is not just about teenagers having sex, it is also about whether Gardasil has been proven safe and effective for little girls."source |

Re: HPV Vaccine Warning
As Canada, in large part due to aggressive behind the scenes lobbying, rolls out the not-comprehensively-tested Merck HPV vaccine for girls as young as nine, a look at developments on the vaccine south of the border should cause Canadians serious concern. In the United States a similar lobby campaign by the same company launched the mass HPV vaccination of girls beginning in June last year.source Quebec has joined Ontario in this extremely aggressive push to have all our young girls exposed to this unstable vaccine. I'm horrified. They are only offering it free to girls in Grade 8. The day they start grade 9 it costs $400. Why? The youngest possible age group that can receive the shots are being pressured to rush in and take it for monetary reasons. |

Disgusting it shouldn't even be on the market yet let alone being push to our young girl ages 8 and 9. My granddaughter will be 10 and believe me she won't be getting this vaccine anytime soon.

Re: HPV Vaccine Warning
It is available here, but it is not yet subsidised so we have to pay the $400+.
I have done some reading about it and discussed it with my doctor. I am fairly sure that one day it will be subsidised here and when it is I will take both my girls (at the right age) to have the vaccination. My doctor agrees. I had cervical abnormalities as a result of having HPV as a teen. I had many abnormal results and a lot of screening before my hysterectomy. The vaccine may not be a guarantee, but I think its a good idea. |
