Barcelona
Hi everyone,
Has anyone here been to Barcelona recently? I'm just back from a 4 day visit and also went for a weekend last year. I think its the nicest place I've ever visited, I absolutely love it! If you have been, what did you see? I've done a lot the tourist things but I particularly love the Gaudi houses, especially Casa Batllo.  |

Went last year for the fifth time. the best city in the world, Parc Guell fantatsic, the Boccera market and best of all Los Caracoles restaurant

Yeah, Parc Guell is amazing and so is Sagrada Familia. Haven't been to Los Caracoles yet, will try that next time! Have you been to the Four Cats restaurant, that Picasso used to frequent when he was in Barcelona? Its in the gothic quarter and is fantastic, great atmosphere.

I have indeed, the Barri Gotic is the only place to be after 10pm and the a stroll down Las Ramblas to the statue of Christopher Colon

ahhh..yes.. I visited Barcelona many years ago.. in my younger days.. and of course dined at Los Caracoles... the house dish is superb....

Have you been up the Christopher Colombus statue? You can get a tiny lift up to the top, (not recommended if you're claustrophobic) and you get an amazing 360 deg view of the city from the top - wow!
