Smile achieving pregnancy naturally... what's you story?

My husband & I want to conceive, but it isn't as easy for some. We are using FAM. Anyone have any sucess stories to share? Anything to give me (& us) some encouragement that this will help us achieve our baby goals?

Wish I could help you there but I had the opposite happen pregnancy came very easy to me and in the end took measures to not have more children after number 2 was born.
I have heard patience and keep trying over and over again. Good luck and btw welcome to our garden.

Re: achieving pregnancy naturally... what's you story?

I have no clue what FAM is. Pregnancy came easy for me also ~ just had to take extra steps to keep the pregnancies viable in the first trimester. I have friends who have done lots of fertility treatments. I've always heard that until you quit trying so hard, it won't happen ~ Relax and stop trying to perform and it will happen.

Good Luck!

I would combine it with psychological work as well. I've heard a vacation helped someone conceive and the absolute belief that it is going to work.

Re: achieving pregnancy naturally... what's you story?

I read a great book that a girlfriend lent me. I am trying to remember what it was called but what is important is getting information on this topic: your fertility signs....and this may be what FAM is all about, I am just not familiar with that. The book I read may have been called something like Natural Family Planning...Your Fertility Signals...or something like that. Sorry I can't be more specific...

Also, go get an ovulation predictor kit and follow the instructions carefully. It takes several months I think if you do it right....however I would think worth the time!

Last, if you are trying to become pregnant, you hopefully are seeing an OBGYN. They usually aren't too concerned until you have been trying 6 mo to a yr....ask them about it as there are things that can be done such as certain medications to increase fertility. Not all of these meds produce multiple birth babies, so don't be shy of it. Also, a visit with a specialist in infertility may be helpful.

Although I never had too much trouble getting pregnant, my problem was staying pregnant....even had a baby at 20 wks gestation that did not live. My cervix is weak and required stitches (called a cerclage) at 12 wks of each pregnancy! I now have 3 great kids. I guess everybody has a story to tell and I am sure you soon will too! Good luck

Re: achieving pregnancy naturally... what's you story?

Being a greatful Mom to 4 boys...3 were from the help of fertility and the last one a big surprise, I remember those days waiting to see if maybe this month would be the lucky one. Out of 8 confirmed pregnacys (4 miscariages and 4 perfect boys born to us) we feel lucky. We have been together 18 years and we have a 9, 6, 4 and 15month. It took a while and lots of money to get the 1st one and then more money, heartache and time for #2 and #3. Our #4 was our reward for sticking it out...I feel!
Good luck and I hope the FAM method works. My OB told be after age 30 and 6 months or under 30 after 1 year of trying you should see a specialist.
