Wow!
Okay. Hmmmm. That is not only asking for a butt-kicking, but a reason for the U.S. to move into Iran and completely destroy and disassemble their military infrastructure. I didn't think the Iranians were so simplistic in their thinking. Then again, this may just be posturing. |

Re: Iran warns of preemptive strike to prevent attack on nuclear sites
I can just about guarantee you that Mossad and CIA are spooking Iran into this and I wouldn't be surprised if the intel on the Israeli strike plan was leaked as a deliberate provocation. There is no percentage for Iran to attack either of us but the Bush team is going to push the envelope and make them so paranoid that there's probably going to be a border incident. I don't know Iran's intentions but I know Iranians and they will make Iraq look like a cakewalk if we put them to the test. Israeli and American airpower wont cut it on the ground and if theres a conflict the whole Muslim world will cry jihad. All this just as Iran was moving to the CENTER.. In viewing the Iranian sabre rattling you have to understand that their culture almost demands this type of rhetoric. Translation: They are scared.
I've seen this coming since the invasion. This is phase two in the game plan to subdue and dominate the Gulf region. I don't really give a damn if Iran is going for nuclear parity with Israel (they aren't) and I rue the day that Israel stole our nuclear secrets. Not that they wouldn't have gotten there on their own but I still resent it. We've got to get Bush and his Pax Americana maniacs the hell out of power before they drag us into their deranged biblical holy war. |

Re: Iran warns of preemptive strike to prevent attack on nuclear sites
In fairness to Bush, the whole Congress got us into this and if the intel oversight committees had done their job we might have avoided a unilateral (for all political purposes) invasion. But the NSC knew they were not going to find a nuclear weapons facility. History will prove that.
Iran's new government is not involved in terrorist planning or plots. They're concerned about national defense and that's what they're concentrating on. They are also mindful that terrorist elements in Iran are trying to agitate for a stricter theocracy and it's not in their interest to see them gain power. A lot of terrorist money flows through Iran's banking system and privately funded organizations do operate out of Iran but it's a balancing act for the government in controlling them and managing civil unrest and rebellion. So if you want to look at it that way, yes, you could say Iran harbors terrorists. Iran is interested in economic development, not all out war. It would behoove the west, never mind Israel, to reach an understanding with them on their national security instead of provoking them at every turn. But look for a manufactured incident in the near future that will enable the Bush team to claim that Iran is the aggressor. |

What I meant was we could face more acts of terror from people disagreeing with America attacking Iran. You're right, Iran wants to develop, and seeing that Iran's on our "Axis of Evil" list, and seeing what we did in Iraq, I'd be feeling anxious enough to develop a better nuclear program, too. If the US does manufacture an incident that allows Bush to claim that Iran needs to get a taste of the US military, then how many people will believe him this time around, even though he probably won't listen to the American people if we say we shouldn't fight Iran. |

Re: Iran warns of preemptive strike to prevent attack on nuclear sites
Unfortunately, the American people don't study the issues very carefully and they are quite suceptible to fear mongering, particularly with respect to nuclear threats.
If Bush wins, the White House will start a propaganda campaign designed to make agression against Iran seem necessary for America's self preservation. Bush will say that time is running out and that we must strike before Iran unleashes their WMD. Sound familiar? Hard to believe that the president of the United States would be part of such a conspiracy but Bush is out of the loop on the reality of the situation. His handlers will just exploit his messiah like attitude towards the "evil doers" of the world and make him believe that he has a divine mission in securing world peace through preemptive war. That's why Bush was chosen. He's a gullible, malleable, puppet for the neocons and even his own father, I suspect, is having second thoughts about his son's presidency. |

GEHAD!!! What can one say about a bunch of crazies who roam the streets in mass flailing themselves with a group good size chains shouting death to the infidels. Gehad death to Americans then hiding out in scorched mountain ranges even a Billy goat can not negotiate. They are tough to beat and a menace to our way of life. If we don’t finish it now we will be facing it on our soil. There will be a holy war, take it to the bank. 2 very strange sites if you read Arabic. http://www.khattab.cjb.net/ http://www.traad.8m.net/custom.html |
