Good Sunday .. and an Intro
It's a beautiful Sunday in Northern NJ and I just discovered this group from a link posted on usenet (thanks to whoever did that).
Was reading a few of the threads, decided y'all sound intelligent and patient, a rare and precious blending on the 'net these days .. so I went and got myself registered. My name is Char (pronounced Shar), for real but most know me as Shamari/Sham/Shami (the rotation brought out Shami for this group .. lol). I'm divorced almost 8 years now .. that opened up whole new avenues after 25 years of marriage .. I work for a med ed communications company and do a 50 mi one way commute so the only time my brain is actually functioning relatively well is early mornings or weekends .. evenings are just a total bust .. lol I love discussions but admit that most are more widely learned than I am so I'm liable to exhibit my mastery of "open mouth insert foot" more often than not.. hopefully the patience I've observed will be present at such times .. I hope! Looking forward to testing the water temps in a few of the ongoing discussions and getting to know you all better as we go along  Char |

Hi Char!
Welcome to the forums! We are all fairly new here since this venue is less than a month old. I'm having a great time - and for the first time I'm actually making new friends from the Internet! (I've been online longer than I care to admit.)  Don't worry about inserting foot into mouth. I do it all the time and the folks here are very forgiving. I'm looking forward to reading your posts. Post often and make sure you let your friends know about this place. FG seems to be attracting an interesting and friendly crowd. A rare occurrence to the usual fare you usually find on the Internet. Welcome Char! I'm sure you'll make a fine addition to the fast growing forums here at ForumGarden. There are many topics to discuss here which makes ForumGarden so great. So I'm sure you'll have a lot of things to talk about!

I've done a lot of reading today and ran out of time (Sunday means tomorrow's Monday which means .. work!
 ) the good side is having lots to mull over tomorrow at work instead of watching the clock which never seems to move as fast as it should!Later! |
