Smile Special people's names

This is something like the people's name game except a little more meaningful.

A name is posted for each letter of the alphabet and you have to say something very special about someone you know with that name.
I'll start.

A is for Angel

Angel is a friend of mine who I met because our children are friends. She spent a lot of time being there for my child at times when I couldn't be around. She always makes me feel warm and loved and she is as funny as heck.

D is for Dorothea.

Dorothea was the first and most powerful influence on my career. She was an educator who inspired me and a very unique person, a woman years ahead of her time. I miss her.

E is for Elizabeth my mom and Elizabeth my friend.

Mom was the rock when I was growing up. My friend has a fantastic garden with lush greenery, gorgeous flowers to envy and a Serenity rock in it that reminds me of what it's all about.

Re: Special people's names

Frank, my great grandfather a part of rural history near by someone my family is researching. Somone who was one of the original cowboys of the era. I had met him as a baby and don't remember him personally, but I have lovely old black and white pics of him and some history in books about him, a man I would like to go back in time and meet during the era he lived in.

Re: Special people's names

G is for Grandma......I'm going with this because I didn't know she had a real name till I was around 8.

Anywho, she was a great lady who always treated me as her own daughter. Tried her best to spoil me, which worked, I think. Always baking cakes and goodies for me. Always gave me the best foods, not always the kids stuff like at home. I could stay up as late as I wanted. She taught me to play solitaire. She loved birds. She gave me money when I was older and didn't have a job. This list could go on and on.......so G is for her.

Re: Special people's names

H is for Helena, my grandmother who is deceased now for 25 years. She always loved us so much! She was a farmers wife who raised 8 children when times were tough. Meaning my dad had to quit school in the eighth grade to stay home and do chores so his younger sibs could attend school. He eventually went back to school and now has a masters degree.
