With an estimated 1.1 million Muslim voters in Britain, the General Election 2005, could be hugely influenced by how Muslims in some swing constituencies vote.
But the launch of the Muslim Council of Britain's election awareness campaign was ruined by followers of the charming Omar Bakri Mohammed, formerly the crackpot head of al-Muhajiroun, who thinks the September 11 hijackers were 'martyrs' and he wants to turn Britain into a Islamic state.
The protestors complained that no Muslim should vote, and any Muslim who does is betraying Islam.

Yeah , the "indefatigable" George Galloway got a bit of a fright , seems he thought he was in with the muslims, 'till the fundamentalists turned up. What was that George?........ The police saved your life ?......Who's gonna be your friend now ?

I expect that although some Muslims may agree with terrorism as a way of obtaining their desires, many will be appalled with it, and similarly with candidates like the ones mentioned above. (Pretty much like the majority of people in the world of most religions, then. You`ll always get extremists but generally speaking, most people are okay - walk through any town on any day and it`s hard to imagine hotbeds of terrorists out there)

Yes you are right. There are terrorists in all religious/political movements around the world. Take Northern Ireland, and they have the cheek to call themselves Christians
