WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Illegal immigrants to the United States cost the federal government over $10 billion a year, but that figure would increase almost threefold if they were granted legal status, according to a study released on Wednesday.

I am more fearful of the immigration situation in this country than I am of terrorism...I think it is going to cause the downfall of our current society unless soemthing is done and swiftly!!! The economy is taking a nsoedive because of it!!!

I agree. I live in a border town. There isn't a social service in California that isn't on the brink of destruction. All due in part to ILLEGAL'S coming across the border..!! I get very angry, and just don't see anything being done about it.!!

Just saw in todays newspaper that there is some new legislation to stop illegals from collecting benifits.

Wish I would have read more of the artical. Was getting the kid's 6 month babie pictures done.

So many of us are busy with our own lives we depend on the legislators to do their job. Don't know if the referenced bill will pass.

I'm going to endevor to go the the state house and see if any of the representives are intrested in my views.

Should start making a list of important issues so I don't leave anything out.

Hi

Makes my blood boil as Bush keeps on about making the ilegals being able to get a guest worker program. This is just to give Uncle Sam a pay rise

He seems to choose not to adress the many thousands of legals, who through errors, delays, visa numbers are separated from their loved ones

it is near impossible to get a drivers license if you are ilegal , so they are driving about, uninsured, no taxes paid.

My son has been separated from his family for four years and still waiting in home country.

The immigration system sucks!
