Am I going mad? (no need to answer THAT one!)
There are 5 possibilities on the table for the renaming of the new Wembley Stadium wotsit, one of them Geoff Hurst (fair enough), another Bobby Charlton (record goalscorer and best haircut), White Horse (okay, but not many of us remember back to 1923) etc but NOT the most OBVIOUS choice of the lost BOBBY MOORE SURELY THAT`S THE OBVIOUS CHOICE???!!! ![]() |

Re: Rewriting 1966 and all that.....
Perhaps you can tell us where to write to criticise this? It should obviously be the Queen's Stadium. Nothing so electrifying has ever happened on the site than Freddie Mercury stepping out and performing there.

Re: Rewriting 1966 and all that.....
It is actually the new bridge that is up for naming, as far as I am aware (and I am there at least once a week) the Stadium is still to be called Wembley national Stadium.
IMO there is only one name for the bridge and that is the SIR (posthumous) Bobby Moore Bridge.
