I got my tattoo.
Yep, after contemplating it for about 7 years, I finally got it. It is an original, drawn by the tattoo artist right in front of me. A flint arrowhead with a leather wrap around the top. I'll be adding a broken wooden shaft in a few weeks, and possibly an eagle feather, but I'm not sure about that part. I'm also going to add a Blackfoot symbol of some kind to the center, but I don't yet know what symbol I want.
Yes, it hurt like hell.
We finally got a scanner, so as soon as it is hooked up, I will post a pic.
My mom is going to SLAUGHTER me.

Congratulations girl, that is awesome I can't wait to see it. Aw your mom will get over it.I have my design all ready for tattoo number 2 can't wait.
Gosh I think we need a tattoo pic thread for all us inked persons here in the FG.

Oh Minks, I love that idea! I suppose the photography forum will work just fine, but a tattoo art area would be very cool!
What's your second design like? Or would you rather not say yet?

well i started a new job today after being out of work for over twelve months, i decided it was time to go back to work. i applied for the job went for the interview nervous as hell and waited four days for a reply...yes i got the job out of 50 people, my kids beleived i could do it but i didnt, maybe i should listen to them more often. i know work in an accounts office. maybe us oldies still have something going for them : :

I have it as an email but will try and explain. Tis a cartouch, the egyptian event capsule things you know like an oval or circle with a number of symbols inside to show significant events.
Inside mine (verticle rounded rectangle) I have a maple leaf for my heritage, (in the top section) Middle section 2 foot prints to signify my daughters and bottom section will be the symbol for goddess, the woman figure with her hands raised above her head. This all going on my calf. It will be my badge of honor something I proudly earned.

Yes back down a ways in Needle work (I still laugh at that) was the start of the tattoo thread so why not post pics there.
