Three governments central to the peace process are assessing a week of talks involving most of the principals in the wake of the British general election results.
The Irish, British and US governments have beeb liaising closely in a bid to gauge the propects for early process towards the restoration of the Northern Ireland institutions.But there is a recognition that little headway can be made until the IRA gives up its arms and pursue the path of peace.

But Dr. Ian Paisley claimed last night after a meeting with the British Prime Minister Tony Blair, that the 'Good Friday Agreement' is dead and should be buried.At the same time Gerry Adams said that the agreement was the only way forward.
Mr Paisley of the Democrat Unionist Party, the largest political party in Northern Ireland called for a new beginning and for Sinn Fein IRA to give up their arms once and for all.

What do you reckon to the loyalists? Always seems to me each is as bad as the other.

Some Loyalist groups have already given up their arms.

Some people in Northern Ireland would admit that the British soldiers are an army of occupation that are armed on the streets.
