Speaking of in public, I used to work with a woman who absolutely thought it looked horrible for women to smoke on the street. HAH she was a smoker herself and refused to have a smoke when outside on the street. Funny huh.

I was stopped at a stop light the other day...this woman had her finger up her nose as far as she could get it. She was diggin' for gold.. She seen my husband and I looking at her but she continued to pick her nose...

I had a patient once who was a very handsome and dignified woman who had an important position in the diplomatic corps for the U.K. As she sat in the chair, there was a very thin dried flake of mucus dangling from her right nostril, and her hand started moving up to brush it away. I turned my back, pretending I had something to do in another part of the room, to give her a discreet opportunity to remove it, and pretended that I did not see it.

I came back to the chair and said “Good morning, Mrs. Jones! So what brings you in today?� and I heard a little voice in my head say, “Hiya, Booger Nose!�

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a voice in her head saying the same thing. I suppose I would call that a private joke when I'm the only one laughing.
