Seriously though, i'm fairly new and think what you'll find on here is a very diverse group of people who thrive on the argument. Just don't expect them to be nice all the time..after all, they are real people.

Flop, I've seen posts like this before, and they always give me a good chuckle. Apparently, someone's opinions were not met with the reaction they had hoped for, (ie: total agreement) and the member came to the erroneous conclusion that this was a one-sided forum. That's what makes it so funny, considering all the heated debate we see! There are SO many differing opinions and views on literally every subject, you can always find someone to agree or disagree with just about anything! Too bad they didn't give it a better shot, huh?

Sorry your unhappy with the results of FG, I am suspecting you mean the Bumpersticker Thread that one of our Mods found inappropriate. Opinions are allowed, and most welcome and we are all fairly open minded. Our Mods do a great job, and we pride ourselves on being a friendly board, no not a board where we all have to love each other, but a board that remains respectful. We don't want to be a board where slamming, spamming or flaming take place. On average we are a mature board and we don't post like some of the youth (I don't mean children either) boards out there, we set our standards high and like to maintain them.
I hope if you are leaving you find a board that better suits your needs. We are not pushing you out and you are always welcome to post, just understand our ways, respect is number 1 here.

I think the problem is that people come from forums where everyone is pretty much 'like minded', and everyone is very careful not to step on anyones toes. And when they post here and don't get either head nodding or 'amens' from everyone, it can take some adjusting. But to me, that's the beauty of this place, all the different characters and ideas. Some of my favorite folks on here are ones I almost always disagree with! And if I can't think how i want to word something, I know that if I wait long enough, someone will be along to post the same idea i had.
Yeah, I lurked for almost a month, getting a feel for the people here before i ever posted. I'm slow to jump into things in real life, too. But advanced knowledge on some of the characters you'll meet in here is not a bad thing to have..
