Re: Favourite Food
I always lose about ten pounds when I'm in Mexico and I feel much healthier. I eat less meat and more rice and beans. But as I am by the sea, I eat lots of fresh seafood like Dorado and Red Snapper lightly grilled with salt, pepper, and lime. Mmm. And the fresh vegetables are such a treat after living for months on unripened Minnesota produce. I love Guacamole with some Mexican style Parmesan and liquados made with whole cream and sun ripened fruit Mango liquados are the best.
Real Italian is my next favorite. Home made pasta made from fine semolina flour. Fresh marinade full of garlic and oregeno and lots of salads with olive oil and vinegar. And plenty of crusty bread (dipped in olive oil) and dry red wine. |

Real Italian food just as you said Plazul. mmmmm Yes + the crusty bread.
I also love Prawns with lettuce and mix veg with garlic bread. The Irish were big on beef steaks up to ten years ago,but that has all changed. Red meat is not big on our menues today. And also I may add the drinking Irishmen is going out of fashion. The Irish in the US may still drink all night long. The Irish here only really drink at St Patrick's Festival and other holidays. Again, its the European influence that most Irish today drink tea or coffee or just a glass of wine. The Guinness sales in Ireland are down. And Guinness is moving out of Ireland. ![]() |
