Re: Famous Cow

That is so cool. We just dug holes and buried our animals in the back forty.

Re: Famous Cow

Ah drat Buzzard.....Thanxxx....You bring back old memoriors.
Being raised on a farm and coming from people who lived off of mother earth. We always had cows to milk, feed, pull calves etc..........
But we always had ol Jesabell (sic) a Registered Gurensey my dad bought from a leading breeder. She was the cow we got our milk from (unless we had a leppie calf we put on her then we used other cows). We could put any calf on her and she would accept it unlike most mother cows.
She lived to be 23 and was producing the morning she died. On a one gallon jar of her milk, we would get at least 4 to 5's" of cream. (RICH creamy and GOOD)

On a similar note. my family in the 1700's were the first importer of English cattle of the shorthorn breed to Augusta Co., VA.

Thanxxx again

Re: Famous Cow

Believe it or not, there is actually a place in Dorset (Upton Country Park, Poole) where there is a pet cemetery (perhaps I should spell that PET SEMATARY?!!!) but only the pets of the previous owners are buried there.
