The Eternal

If you could live forever, in the same body with the same identity, without growing old...would you want to?

I would not. I think it would be incredibly boring after a while. I am looking forward to the next thing when the time is right.

Re: The Eternal

No. I would like my rear end to stay in the same place forever...but I would like to have kids...like to experience retirement...like to experience grandkids. I'll take the traditional road!

Re: The Eternal

Know how there`s this sort of joke about "Life would be alright were it not for the OTHER people"? I think this sort of is my answer....I could probably be happy just sitting around reading, listening to music, on the INternet, or going for nice walks and drives and holidays, etc BUT it would ultimately become more depressing with wars, illnesses, and your friends and family all dying (unless they too had the same `power`) - so on balance, probably not, but it`s a nice idea, nevertheless!

Nah, I want to stay as is, after all, it's hard to improve on a good thing.

Re: The Eternal

Crazy!!! I am happy that I have the pleasure to die one day! infact i am dying already, it started 26 yrs ago the second after birth was given to me.

I agree with john8pies he says most already.. I can only add that it is impossible to truly live your life to the fullest without accepting death as part of life. if you fear death it means that your fear life as well...

Re: The Eternal

Hmm the eternal question, always a hard one to answer for some.

I have to agree that living forever has its perks, I mean being able to witness new achievements and breakthroughs in the world would be fantastic. However on the down side I agree that staying young but watching as your family and friends grow old would be tough, and sure enough eventually as time goes by, you would find yourself gradually becoming bored.

So honestly, I couldn't really answer that question yet, but it is an interesting question that u bring up.

Re: The Eternal

Everybody has two aspects, body and soul. Body, a physical entity can not last for indefinite period. Soul, a part of the God lives forever.

Re: The Eternal

No, I think you wouldn't learn an awful lot if you stayed in the same body forever. You wouldn't experience the things you must learn to enable to grow both mentally and physically.
You would always have the same physical and mental boundaries.
