Smile Politics & Politics & More Politics?

When I joined this ForumGarden I thought well, perhaps this was a new kind of forum with little politics. Oh I did submit some political issues myself and others on religion...That did not go down very well to some folk.

But I thought that this Forum was different from the others I had joined before. A Forum of Variety.

Well, stop talking heavy politics, then, or read Usenet! I'm rather ambivalent
about "forums", but will have a bit of a go to see what happens. It's a bit
clunky and parochial for me, maybe...

This forum, in my opinion, is a forum of variety. Yes, politics is one of the biggest topics here, but there are many other forums here, science, computers, romance, friendships, photography, the list goes on. That's what makes this forum so great. You can post in these areas too.

Some Americans are like some Brits when it comes to War & Politics. They don't quite know how to stop. And there is very little Peace for the rest of us. If the US had not gone to war with Iraq,I doubt very much that old Saddam would be still there today. And having said that. Another Saddam is sure to be in the making before long.

I like it here because I can choose to go to the heavier subjects such as the war in Iraq, or the lighter subjects such as word play. I tend to avoid the heavier subjects, but that is my choice.

Re: Politics & Politics & More Politics?

I've gone out of my way to post on a variety of topics but politics seems to be what gets people going. CVX and Tombstone constantly post a wide cross section of things to comment on but they don't get much feedback.

I think it may be hard to stay away from the politics though because new posts get put on the front page.

I Am, beginning to like the Religious topics more than political. But then I don't understand American politics.

Re: Politics & Politics & More Politics?

I am sort of tired of politics. I like to post a range of eclectic stories. Check out my mad dash of postings regarding Half Life and Doom. Not political at all!

I don't necessarily expect replies. I like to post information that is meaningful for the audience that reads it. Most of it needs no reply - but it's there for future members and I use it as a reference for myself. It's nice to have an online library here.

Re: Politics & Politics & More Politics?

There are a bunch of great religious topics going on now. I'm not sure why I haven't posted there too much. I'll need to think about that. I guess I feel kind of private about my religious beliefs? Maybe I'm a little too shy to express my views there yet. (Don't laugh at my "shy" statement!)
