Jingo jamboree

I've been listening to the Republican convention. So far, all they've talked about is 9-11, John Kerry, and the war in Iraq. What else do they have to talk about? Our half trillion dollar trade deficit? And our current account deficit is well over half a trillion. How about their feeble attempt at Medicare reform that has done nothing but confuse our seniors with gimmicks and false promises? Maybe they can talk about the fact that Bush will be the first President since Hoover to finish a term with a net *job loss* for the economy, and a huge one at that. And they have the brass to tout the Patriot Act as one of Bush's major achievements.

They're still talking about 9-11. What Bush has done to this country is the political equivilent of a 9-11 attack. They've taken down our world trade, decimated our economy, caused the death and injury of thousands of soldiers, jeopardized the security of millions of Americans, and the second attack is yet to come.

What do you suppose Bush and the Republicans have planned for the next four years....Do you really want to find out?

Heck no! America can't allow the Bush administration another four years! The reason he won't talk about the economy during the convention is because there's nothing he can say to make people believe he's done a good job with it. The list of crimes committed by George W. Bush is endless. Sending his own Americans to die in a war that doesn't have to be fought, murdering millions of innocents in Iraq, denying security to Americans, putting us in this rabbit hole we call the deficit, and it's a hole we won't get out of if he's reelected.

I believe that the economy and health coverage are more important to Americans than the national security issue. The reason polls show national security as such a priority is because people aren't going to say it's not the most important thing to them.

That's why it was a mistake for Kerry to put so much emphasis on his war record. But real income is down across the board, even for rich people, so I think that if people really do vote their pocket books it's over for Bush.
