Emotionally unstable peronality disorder (BPD)

Hello people, My names Dave as you can see. I have been diagnosed with the above!!! I suppose I have been like this for many years, well since i was a child anyway ( now 40). I have spent time in psychiatric hospitals and now also have a criminal record due ti the above illness. I would dearly love to talk to anyone else who has been diagnosed with BPD and am trying to seek help from turning down the dark path from where there is no return only ultimate peace and quite where no one can hurt me anymore.

Welcome Dave and 1HB is correct in mentioning talk talk talk. We are good listeners here, and at some point some of us come up with some good advise. We are pretty supportive and always have an ear.

BPD is in this case Borderline Personality disorder and not Bipolar.

I've never met anyone who doesn't have something wrong with them. I guess I'm more interested in whats right with you. got any unusual hobbies, likes, dislikes?
Got a strange sense of humor..hardly see enough of that in here..lol

And don't hesitate to jump in and say something that you may think sounds stupid. I do it on a regular basis and these folks are still nice to me.

What does your family do for support?
What kind of support group is out there in your area?
Check online for support groups even that is helpful.
