Anybody vacationed in Tennessee???
Just wanted to get ideas on where to visit in Tennessee. We will probably visit Dollywood, go whitewater rafting, visit the smokies and horseback ride.
Does anyone know what might be some of the prettiest places to see there. We are also looking to buy a chalet somewhere in the mountaines overlooking a large lake. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ![]() |

Re: Anybody vacationed in Tennessee???
Ive been through Tennessee many times I love it there ! Just head into Smoky Mtn Ntl Park and you cant go wrong ! There are many places to get out and hike walk across sreams camp picnic. I dont recall the name but theres an old settlers area you drive around a big loop and you get a nice visual of days gone by.
Dont be afraid take take a dirt road or two to somewhere your not sure of the outcome we did and always ended up somewhere spectacular. I went near Dollywood but didnt go in thats not why we went. There are walking trails up the sides of mountains at the top are waterfalls its stunning (one of those hikes I had a full blown panic attack because the trail was narrow and a sheer vertical drop on the other side) If your near Chatanooga Lookout Mtn is worth a look. Have fun its a great place to see actually I could see myself living there. |

Re: Anybody vacationed in Tennessee???
Tennessee is a beautiful state but it's closed on Tuesday and Thursday.
LOL right but if you hide late Monday you get the whole state to yourself on Tuesday ! |
